This is me. Aren’t I adorable?
Welcome to my crazy world. So, you would like to know a few things about me, would you? Ok. Well, I’m a Pisces. I like to drink wine (a lot), eat pasta (those damn carbs get me every time!) & also snack on M&Ms (they are so tiny, obviously there aren’t any calories . . . especially those little mini ones).
And in case you were curious, it is true . . . Misty is indeed my actual name. Obviously when my parents bestowed this wonder upon me, they were not considering my future professional aspirations . . . unless, of course, they had high hopes for me to eventually have a career as an exotic dancer or an adult film star. Sadly, my profession is neither as lucrative or noble as those. Despite their lofty goals for my future, I have failed them and become . . . a lawyer. Gasp! C’est vrai.
Seeing as I work for the government and see a high volume of cases and people on a daily basis, I have seen some really crazy stuff. I don’t get paid very much for what I do, but all the insanity I deal with in my job is really worth its weight in gold!! Ok, so it doesn’t pay the bills, but it allows me to tell fun stories about all the crazies, so there’s that.
Oh, and I love lawyer jokes, so feel free to share any you know. I promise not to get offended! 🙂

There’s a law firm in my city that advertises on community radio. They’re actually called Slithers.

Oh wow, that is so sweet! Thank you so much for thinking of me and giving me these awards. Honestly, I have received some of these types of awards in the past (not these specifically, though), and have tried to pass on the love to my other bloggy friends. At this point, I fear I have run out of people to pass them on to, and while I really do appreciate the thought, I think I’m going to have to pass this time. Sorry!

Hi Misty! I just stumbled across you in the Yeah Write #123 challenge, and I’ve spent the last while reading all your posts. There go my morning plans. 🙂 I love your posts, especially the challenge one about your youngest son beginning kindergarten. My only son is starting in a couple of weeks, and I’m the one having palpitations.

It’s not really a lawyer joke but I do love the Simpson’s critiques of lawyers.
There’s this quote from a divorce lawyer
“When will you humans learn that your feelings as you call them can get in the way of big cash settlements?”
Then there’s this quote from possibly the same lawyer
“Here you go- $100 dollars each. The rest goes to Ann Landers as was stipulated in your aunt’s will.
